My Early Years Journey – including the birth to 3 and Curriculum for Excellence
Available from January, NurseryManagers.com will be publishing their long awaited journal “My Early Years Journey” file published specifically for nurseries providing care for children in the early years which will record children’s progress from babies to when they leave the nursery setting. This document is invaluable to any nursery and is an easy way to share information with parents and outside agencies.
Using one file for each child, each file chronicles a child’s development within the nursery setting in a simple and efficient way and incorporates the Birth to Three curriculum and the Curriculum for Excellence. Sections within the File include:-Pictures and Documents -This section is for keeping a child’s drawings etc for evidence
- About Me - this section is for storing general information about the child
- Extension of Home and Nursery Environment - This section gives details of how the nursery keeps parents informed and also comes with templates to share with parents to ensure parents’ and nurseries are working jointly to help the child’s development
- Short, medium and Long Term Planning - This section is for storing details of planning
- Topics – for storing details of children’s topics
- Birth to Three
- Curriculum for Excellence
We have completely broken down each of the curriculums and incorporated them into the same document. We have included templates and forms for recording information and each aspect of learning comes complete with an activity idea to carry out with the children and record the results
We also provide training for nursery staff on how to use the document and ensure they can make full use of all the benefits the Journal can provide
The document comes in A4 folder for each child and also in CD/Flash drive content
